Day 3 Repo Road Tour blog

Its now 5am and I am just getting ready for some much needed sleep. So please forgive the convoluted-ness of this blog.

We drove from MA to NJ and hit rush hour NYC traffic. By the time we got to the theater there were hundreds of fans outside freezing their asses off, but as soon as we went out and said hello, everyone cheered and screamed for Terrence, shortly after that everyone was let inside the warm theater, where we had a burlesque act and my puppet show, and the Repo family showed up… again!!! On the tour we are meeting so many kick ass people that I cannot even list them… I wish we had a photo booth so we could get pictures of everyone that comes through!

THE REPO FAMILY!
I know they told me their names, but I cannot remember, so from now on they will be known as the REPO FAMILY. This family of 3 kids and two parents have been to last nights show in Boston, then today they all got in the car (with a few friends) and drove to NYC to see it again. Tonight the 14 year old boy won first place in the costume contest as he dressed up as an amazing repoman!! The super cool older sister who actually made all of the costumes that the family was wearing, had her boobs signed while mom took pictures, Dad was rocking a REPO shirt, The super hot younger sister stayed quiet while being cute and shy. Darren Bousman even introduced them to the crowd during the preshow!

The Repo family mom pulled me aside to tell me how much Repo had meant to her because Repo had brought her family together. I guess, this is the first time in a few years that they were all doing something together as a family, and all having a blast doing it! Mom continued on to tell me that they saw the Repo Road Tour part 2 and during the Q and A Darren explained that while Repo is not for everyone, it is for anyone who feels like they are different and wants to embrace the different! This speech that he made had a profound effect on this family and many others who are going beyond the call of duty to help promote it. Tonight we found flyers in the local Dunkin Donuts, and yesterday at the local family restaurant were Repo posters that Fans had put up!

It doesn’t matter weather you are young or old, fat or skinny, goth or punk, anime or horror lovers, as a group of humans we have all found within this film a common thread of individuality, and complete strangers are bonding, hooking up, and NOW even bringing families together. I personally have a whole new group of people that I can call “friends”, some are readers of Bloody Disgusting and some are Repo fans just like me, and I love being a part of this tour!

When was the last time that a MOVIE (especially one with out A list stars) could connect with so many people?

I cannot wait to meet some more of you in the next few days as we continue the tour.

Get your tickets at www.reporoadtour.com and say hello to me when you get there!
