Repo gets some Twitter action

Director of Repo the Genetic Opera; Darren Lynn Bousman decided to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of his film by calling the REPO ARMY to action. Hundreds of people started twittering “#RepoOpera” yesterday with the goal of making #RepoOpera a trending topic. Even Paris Hilton twittered her happy anniversary wishes. The tweets started strong and kept going throughout the day and night. After thousands of tweets happened, The Repo Army made a lot of noise! Although it never made it to a “trending topic” it was enough for Bousman to reply to the fans “It’s amazing how many people are actually talking about #RepoOpera I am tearing up”.
Mission accomplished.
